Maternity care

Are you a (future) parent looking for maternity care for your baby and family? Then you can request maternity care from Familiehulp.

Who is maternity care for?

Our maternity nurses are here for anyone looking for care and support during a special but sometimes very challenging time:

  • pregnant women
  • young parents of 1 or more children
  • adoptive parents
  • parents of still-born children

Would you like additional help and support after the 12-week post-partum period? Family care service staff will be happy to take over our tasks. We will ensure the necessary fine-tuning during a personal meeting.

What can we do for you?

  • caring for your baby
bathing, dressing, changing, caring for the navel area, etc.
  • support for parents:
while we take over the care of your baby, you can have a quiet shower, catch up on some sleep or just take some time for yourself. We are also there as a listening ear, to share your concerns, questions or experiences. Moreover, we offer advice and share useful information to support you during this special phase.
  • looking after other children in the family:
playing games with big brother or sister, doing homework, picking them up from school, etc.
  • home help
shopping, preparing a fresh meal, light housework and dishes, laundry or ironing, changing and making beds, etc.
  • advice and practical tips:
on feeding, sleep, how to comfort your baby, etc.

I am extremely satisfied and would like to compliment the maternity nurse for her outstanding care. Her gentle and caring approach helped me tremendously when I first became a mum. I will cherish these moments forever. Thank you so much.
